Privacy Policy

DevPlay (“DevPlay,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) develops and publishes free-to-play games and related applications for mobile devices and the web. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies whenever you play our games or use any of our products, services, content, or websites, including devplay.mobi (together, the “Services”).

1. Introduction

Our games are, in most cases, free to play with optional in-app purchases and subscriptions. To provide a high-quality experience, we process information from and about you, primarily to operate and improve our games and to support our internal operations. For the purposes of data-protection laws, DevPlay acts as the “data controller” of your personal information. Some games or features may have a supplemental or customized privacy notice, which will be provided in that game or Service.

2. Information we collect and how we collect it

The information we collect falls into two categories: information you provide directly and information we collect automatically.

a. Information you provide directly

• Account & profile information — such as a username, email address, password, age or age range, gender, profile photo, and approximate location, if you create an account or profile.
• Communications — messages, comments, or other content you share through in-game chat, forums, or support requests, and the contents of correspondence with our support team.
• Customer support information — the contact details and details about your gameplay you provide when you contact us, so we can help you.

b. Information we collect automatically

• Device & technical data — IP address; device type, name and operating system; app version; browser type and language; and device identifiers such as the Identifier for Advertising (IDFA on iOS / AAID on Android) and, where applicable, other identifiers.
• Gameplay & usage data — the games you play, levels reached, session duration, in-game actions, settings, crash logs, and performance data.
• Cookies & similar technologies — small data files used on our websites and in some Services to recognize you, remember preferences, measure performance, and support analytics and advertising.
• Location — coarse location derived from your IP address, and, only with your permission, more precise location from your device.
• Social network data — if you choose to sign in with or link a social network, information that network shares with us according to your settings there (for example, your name and profile picture).

3. How we use the information we collect

We use the information we collect to:

• operate, provide, maintain, and improve our games and Services;
• create and manage accounts and enable gameplay and social features;
• process and deliver in-app purchases and subscriptions, and provide related receipts and support;
• personalize content, offers, and your experience;
• provide customer support and respond to your requests;
• measure performance, conduct analytics and research, and fix bugs;
• serve and measure advertising, including contextual and, where permitted, personalized ads;
• protect the safety of players, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms; and
• comply with legal obligations and exercise or defend legal rights.

We may aggregate or de-identify information so it no longer identifies you and use it for any purpose.

4. Purchases, subscriptions and payment information

When you make an in-app purchase or subscribe within one of our games, the transaction is processed by the app store or platform (for example, the Apple App Store or Google Play) and its payment processor — not directly by DevPlay. We do not collect or store your full payment-card details.

• The app store may share limited, non-financial transaction data with us (such as a transaction ID, the item purchased, price, currency, and purchase or renewal status) so we can deliver your purchase, provide support, and prevent fraud.
• Subscriptions are auto-renewable. Details about pricing, billing period, auto-renewal, free trials, and how to cancel are disclosed in the app before purchase and in our Terms of Service. You manage or cancel subscriptions through your app store account settings.
• Refunds for app-store purchases are handled by the app store under its policies. See our Refund Policy for step-by-step instructions, or contact us and we will help.

5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract — to provide the Services you request; (b) legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve our Services, prevent fraud, and conduct non-intrusive marketing, provided these do not override your rights; (c) consent — for example, for precise location, certain cookies, and personalized advertising, which you can withdraw at any time; and (d) legal obligation — where processing is required by law.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information in the following circumstances:

• Service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, payment support, and customer service, under contracts that require them to protect your data.
• App stores and platforms through which you download our games and make purchases.
• Advertising and analytics partners, as described in Section 7.
• Other players, where you use social or multiplayer features (for example, a public username or profile).
• Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect the rights, property, or safety of DevPlay, our players, or the public, or prevent fraud or abuse.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

7. Advertising and analytics

Advertising helps us keep many games free. We and our partners may use device identifiers, cookies, and similar technologies to deliver and measure advertising, including personalized ads. You have control over this:

• On iOS, apps must ask for your permission before tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). You can review and change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and reset or limit your Advertising Identifier.
• On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in Settings → Google → Ads.
• On the web, you can manage cookies in your browser and use industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or Your Online Choices (EU).
• We may use analytics services such as Google Analytics; you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

If you opt out of personalized advertising, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• delete your personal information (see Section 9);
• restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing and profiling;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• port your information to another provider; and
• lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. Data and account deletion

You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time. You have three options:

1. In-app: where available, use the “Delete Account” option in the game’s Settings.
2. By email: write to [email protected] with the subject line “Delete My Account,” and include the game name and the email or account identifier you use so we can locate your data.
3. Via our website: submit a request through our contact page and select the “Data deletion request” topic.

We will verify and process deletion requests within the period required by applicable law, and in any case within 30 days. After deletion, you may permanently lose access to your game progress, virtual items, and account. Deleting your account is separate from canceling a subscription — to stop billing, also cancel your subscription in your app store settings (see Terms, Section 6). We may retain certain information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our agreements, and we will delete or anonymize it once those purposes are fulfilled.

10. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and the reason we hold it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

11. How we protect your information

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (SSL/TLS) for sign-in and payment flows handled by our processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please help keep your account safe by protecting your credentials and notifying us of any suspected unauthorized use at [email protected].

12. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the minimum age) without appropriate parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents and guardians can use device-level parental controls (such as Apple Screen Time / Ask to Buy and Google Play parental controls) to manage app installs and purchases.

13. International data transfers

We operate globally, so your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers and take steps to ensure your information remains protected in accordance with this Policy.

14. Regional privacy rights

California residents. Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction; and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at [email protected], and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

EEA/UK residents. You have the rights described in Section 8 and may contact your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases for processing are set out in Section 5.

Do Not Track. There is no common industry standard for Do Not Track signals; at this time our Services do not respond to them.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice through the Services or by other means and update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect signifies your acceptance of the updated Policy.
